Rosalía Arteaga was declared an Illustrious Visitor of Buenos Aires

.

The Honorable Senate of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina declared Rosalía Arteaga Serrano, former president of Ecuador and executive president of the FIDAL Foundation, an Illustrious Visitor, on August 9, 2018.

To formally receive this recognition, Arteaga visited Buenos Aires on August 28 and received a tribute from Daniel Marcelo Salvador, president of the Senate of Buenos Aires, in the Golden Room of the Legislative Palace.

In addition, she took advantage of her time in the South American country to share a talk called "The role of women in the face of the challenge of sustainability", within the framework of the training course "The Sustainable Development Goals and international cooperation", whose setting was the Eva Perón Hall of the Senate.

Similarly, he held several meetings to address issues of his expertise such as education with Marco Actis, vice president of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), and the secretary of Institutional Relations of the university house, Juan Carlos Martín; He also spoke with the Minister of Agroindutria, Leonardo Sarquís, and the executive director of the OPDS, Rodrigo Aybar.

His instance in Argentina will last until this week and he will travel to neighboring countries to give various conferences and dialogues on the environment, science, education, etc. For example, he participated in a round table together with Enrique Iglesias, former president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), within the framework of the XII Hemispheric Summit of Mayors and Local Governments, held in Uruguay.
