Rosalía Arteaga Serrano, former president of Ecuador, in addition to being a leader and activist in favor of education, is also one of the literary voices with extensive national and international experience. Five of her works, including Rosa Carmín, a book of poems written in tribute to the courageous Ecuadorian and Latin American women, will be presented at St. Johns University in New York as part of the cultural activities in the Spanish area.
The meeting, which will take place on Thursday, May 4, starting at 5:30 p.m., will have the participation of the author Rosalía Arteaga Serrano and the moderation of Marie-Lise Gazarian, professor of Spanish and Latin American Literature and director of the Graduate Program in Spanish at St. Johns University.
During the event, Arteaga will share his experiences with readers and scholars of literature, young writers and storytellers, literary critics, professors and students from the university community.
