Three days of tribute to Ecuadorian and Ibero-American teachers

.

Foundation for the Integration and Development of Latin America (FIDAL) will honor the teachers from Ecuador and the region who participated in the XII National and VII Ibero-American Contest of Educational Excellence, on October 15, 16 and 17, at 6:00 p.m. via live broadcast on Facebook and Youtube.

During these three days of celebration, in the middle of the art of the Santo Domingo Convent, the semifinalists, finalists and winners of this edition of the educational contest will be known, which registered 146 national projects, from 19 provinces, and 41 international projects, from 32 cities in the region.

The most important award that the winners receive is the Noûs statuette designed by the artist Sara Palacios. The first place in the national edition will obtain $ 10,000 thanks to the support of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and the Ibero-American winner will receive $ 5,000 donated by Unicef ​​and Diners. In addition, the commitment to the education of companies and institutions makes it possible for FIDAL to provide scholarships for masters, courses, electronic equipment and various other incentives.

Ecuadorian journalists Andrés López and Ana María Cañizares and Colombian-Ecuadorian journalist Andrea Bernal will announce the winners of the 12th edition of the Contest. Likewise, they will present the three Noûs Lifetime Achievement Awards, which for their vocation and their dedicated work to education will receive recognition from FIDAL; They are: Jenny Estrada Ruiz, journalist and historian; Rómulo López, president of the Ecuadorian Confederation of Catholic Education Establishments (Confedec), and teacher Carolina Espinoza.

Since 2008, FIDAL has rewarded good pedagogical practices through the Educational Excellence Contest that, to date, has summoned 2,307 Ecuadorian and foreign teachers, with a total of 1,343 innovative projects.
