ABP workshop is held at FIDAL

Several teachers from educational institutions in Quito participated in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) workshop, as part of the activities carried out by Fundación FIDAL within the E-STEM (Ethics, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) educational approach.

José Luis Blanco, an expert in education and international lecturer, gave classes to teachers, on Saturday, July 6, in an arduous training day on this teaching method, which aims for students to learn through conflict resolution of real life situations.

The workshop had two parts, one theoretical and one practical: in the morning an introduction to the method and how PBL connects with the STEM approach was given; and, in the afternoon, this theory was applied through working groups to solve problems. In addition, the teachers have pending tasks that they will review at the next meeting, which will take place on July 20, in the FIDAL E-STEM Classroom.
