Recognition of teachers of Excellence

With the aim of continuing to encourage the efforts of teachers in the classrooms, last Monday June 27, Fundación Fidal held a special ceremony for the delivery of awards from the Ceremony of the Eighth National and Third Latin American Contest of Educational Excellence. Which was held in April of this year.
A Nôus statuette and two Honorable Mentions waited for the recognition of three teachers who committed to change and the development of the country, from their commitment to educational improvement. Mercedes Pillajo, teacher at the Oswaldo Lombeyda Municipal Educational Unit, and Lucía Villegas, from the Sucre Municipal Educational Unit, obtained honorable mentions for the effort applied; while Jaqueline Ponce, from the Johannes Kepler School, received the Nôus, the highest award for Educational Excellence.
The event was attended by María Fernanda Pacheco, president of the San José de Quito Municipal Board, Pedro Fernández de Córdova, secretary of Municipal Education, representatives of various cooperating institutions and members of the Fidal Foundation.
