THE MOST IMPORTANT NIGHT

On April 19 there will be a night full of emotions to reward the best teachers in Ecuador and Latin America and, together with them, Fundación Pies Descalzos, created by the artist Shakira, will receive the Noûs "Life Path" statuette for their commitment and work in favor of the education of disadvantaged children, in the sister country of Colombia.
On the night of April 19, at the Casa de la Música, Fundación Fidal will hold the award ceremony for the Ninth National and Fourth Latin American Competition of Educational Excellence. The expectation remains, 101 projects, between national and international, compete for the grand final for the Noûs Statuette, an award that highlights the effort and innovation of the best educational proposals.
Since 2008, Fundación Fidal has delivered all its potential to strengthen education, through training and recognition of educators who, day by day, contribute their knowledge, time and innovative ideas to launch projects that their excellence can be replicated in the region.
Nine years of the Educational Excellence Contest are translated into 13 applicant countries, 833 educational projects, 1683 participating teachers and 62 winning teachers, who have received specialization courses, scholarships for master's degrees, inside and outside the country, international observation tours, among others. Awards that seek to raise the capacities of teachers to bring out the best in education, helping to strengthen the teacher's self-esteem for regional development.
The "Noûs" Awards will be given to teachers with educational projects of excellence and together with them, national and international personalities who have made history for their contribution to the social, cultural and educational improvement of peoples will also receive the award.
