Between October 27 and 28, the Workshop Seminar “How to apply the SDGs to the journalistic agenda was held at the facilities of the International Center for Higher Communication Studies for Latin America (CIESPAL). Following Habitat III: the goal of sustainable cities ”.

Experts in development problems and journalists, participants in the Seminar - Workshop, organized by the international news agency Inter Press Service and the United Nations Foundation, analyze the New Urban Agenda, the complexity of the SDGs, the main goals and the challenges that are planned towards 2030, in order to carry out effective information, evaluation and social education work.

The first day of the workshop had the participation of Claudia Arteaga Serrano, executive director of Fundación Fidal, who gave a talk called “Towards a 'glocal' citizenship, FIDAL, the impact of the SDGs on urban inhabitants”. Throughout the meeting, topics such as: gender equality, food security and urban challenges for Ecuador will be discussed.
