Roles and importance of Rural Women

On the occasion of commemorating Rural Women's Day, the Loja Prefecture holds the III Meeting of Rural Women to strengthen their empowerment and make visible the importance of citizen participation with a woman's face and its incidence.
Women and water, women and climate change; current problems of girls; and, female political participation will be some of the themes.
The meeting will be attended by María Paula Romo, Daniela Chacón, Margarita Carranco and the former president of Ecuador, Rosalía Arteaga, who will give a talk on the “Challenges of women's political participation”.
The Meeting, which takes place on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, involves 150 women who seek to demand the fulfillment of their rights and improve the quality of life of their families.
