Municipality of the Bolívar Canton honors Rosalía Arteaga

The Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of the Bolívar Canton (Manabí), will recognize the former president of Ecuador, Rosalía Arteaga, on behalf of the Bolivian citizens for her outstanding work in the cultural field.
The decoration will take place on Thursday, October 13, starting at 10:00 am, at the Social Emblematic Platform, located on Chile Street between Sergio Domingo Dueñas and José María Huerta.
About Rosalía Arteaga Serrano
Ecuadorian, the only woman who has held the positions of Vice President and Constitutional President of Ecuador. Former Secretary General of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization, she was also Vice Minister of Culture and Minister of Education.
She is a lawyer, a doctor of jurisprudence, a journalism graduate and a Master's degree in anthropology.
Until 2007, she served as a member of the Editorial Board of the Encyclopedia Britannica, as well as director of Fundación Natura Regional. He served from 2007 to 2012 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Agronomic Research and Teaching Center (CATIE) in Costa Rica.
She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Library of Alexandria, is an Honorary Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors and Executive President of the FIDAL Foundation.
