  FIDAL Foundation will award the best teacher in Ecuador and Latin America on April 16  

.

Ten national and three Ibero-American projects are the finalists of the XI National and VI Ibero-American Contest of Educational Excellence. In total, FIDAL registered 166 projects belonging to teachers from the Sierra, Costa, Amazonia and 12 Ibero-American countries and, after a strict evaluation by the jury, the participants who will be in the final stretch were determined.

On April 16, both the national and the Ibero-American winner will be known in an award ceremony in style, at 6:00 p.m., at the Casa de la Música.

FIDAL takes deep pride in the innovative ideas of the teachers. Among those that stand out: the teaching of the alphabetic code of the Spanish language to Kichwa-speaking children; the insertion of women in science studies through Astronomy and Astrophysics; teaching advanced design tools to create programs for social purposes; learning strategies that complement the abstract part of mathematics with playful activities; projects for students, teachers and parents based on the theories of Edgar Morín, the implementation of activities that generate in children and young people citizenship values ​​based on the SDGs, etc.
