FIDAL Foundation will award the best teacher in Ecuador and Latin America on April 16
.
Ten national and three Ibero-American projects are the finalists of the XI National and VI Ibero-American Contest of Educational Excellence. In total, FIDAL registered 166 projects belonging to teachers from the Sierra, Costa, Amazonia and 12 Ibero-American countries and, after a strict evaluation by the jury, the participants who will be in the final stretch were determined.

On April 16, both the national and the Ibero-American winner will be known in an award ceremony in style, at 6:00 p.m., at the Casa de la Música.

FIDAL takes deep pride in the innovative ideas of the teachers. Among those that stand out: the teaching of the alphabetic code of the Spanish language to Kichwa-speaking children; the insertion of women in science studies through Astronomy and Astrophysics; teaching advanced design tools to create programs for social purposes; learning strategies that complement the abstract part of mathematics with playful activities; projects for students, teachers and parents based on the theories of Edgar Morín, the implementation of activities that generate in children and young people citizenship values based on the SDGs, etc.
