
International dissemination of the Educational Excellence Contest

Rosalía Arteaga, president of the Fidal Foundation Advisory Council, during her visit to the city of Montevideo, held important meetings with representatives of the educational field to disseminate the fourth Latin American call for the Educational Excellence Contest.

The former Ecuadorian president in her round of interview with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Uruguay, María Julia Muñoz, and with the director of the Office of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), Ignancio Hernaiz, announced that the Educational Excellence expanded to all of Latin America with the purpose of working at the regional level to improve the system, through the recognition of teachers who contribute pedagogical, curricular or didactic innovations; research, publications, community experiences, and other activities.

Arteaga extended the invitation to all Uruguayan teachers and confirmed that the Ninth National and Fourth Latin American Contest of Educational Excellence is in the project reception phase, a period that will last until December 10 of this year.

Participating projects will be able to compete for the Noûs Statuette, which represents the “Oscar of education” in recognition of excellence. In addition, the winning professors will be awarded international internships and scholarships for postgraduate studies. The rules of the contest can be found at this link .
