.

It's party time and we are celebrating! We already have in our hands Edition 96 of the Verd Magazine, the last of the year. We invite you to read this month's editorial by Rosalía Arteaga Serrano:

OF PARTIES AND CHUCHAQUIS

This is a period of festivities, no doubt, in Quito it begins with those of the Foundation of the city, with the elections of queen, with the dances in the streets, even this year we had the realization of Habitat III that arrived with its load of festivities and had people visit the temple illuminations, with record attendance downtown, and then we have
already, almost around the corner, those that serve for the celebration of Christmas and then those that burn the Old Year and eagerly await the arrival of the New Year.

What a party season! We love to party, celebrate, show off even what we don't have and then keep the memories, yes, wonderful ones, but also with lots of gift papers, used bottles, materials with which we don't we know what to do and that they complicate our lives.

For this reason, it is necessary to think about the practices that recommend us to reuse, recycle, think about how we can be less aggressive with our poor planet that resists until it almost cannot take any more, the extraction of resources, overpopulation but above all the use indiscriminate and even absurd tons and tons of materials that we could do without or reuse.

It is therefore worth planning what we are going to use, what we are going to buy, how we should reuse the goods, what use we can take from what we already have, how we should be creative thinking that the resources of nature are not eternal and that it is our responsibility to take care of them.

Verd wishes the best to its readers, who have faithfully accompanied us by writing articles and collaborations, who have followed us throughout this time, and wants to take advantage of this latest issue of 2016 to announce that as of January 2017 We will reengineer this publication, making it more dynamic, more agile, more appropriate for the world of Millennials in which we have lived.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
