Drafting FIDAL

.
Fundación Repsol Ecuador and FIDAL signed a cooperation agreement to promote leadership project in the Amazon
.
“Yasuní: Leadership School” is the project that will be developed in the Amazon region of the country, thanks to the initiative of the Foundation for the Integration and Development of Latin America (FIDAL) and the Repsol Ecuador Foundation.
.
It is an academic and programmatic adaptation of the Leadership School that FIDAL implements every year, specially designed to contribute to the work carried out by Repsol in Blocks 16 and 67 to improve the quality of life of the communities surrounding the operation of the company; which is why the main beneficiaries are young Waorani and Kichwa leaders.
.
Yasuní: Leadership School will have three training modules and through experiential workshops, talks and activities of self-learning and collaborative work, they will discuss identity and ancestral knowledge, rights and duties of peoples and nationalities, entrepreneurship, alternative productive activities and project design for development.
At the end of the program the young people will have strengthened their leadership, social and cultural awareness, problem solving and teamwork. Likewise, they will present a local or community development project to be executed in the short term, which will be advised and accompanied by FIDAL, thanks to the operational capacity of the Foundation in the implementation of projects at the national level.
.
The cooperation agreement for the execution of the program was signed this May by Ramiro Páez Rivera, Chairman of the Board of the Fundación Repsol Ecuador, Claudia Arteaga, Executive Director of FIDAL, and Rosalía Arteaga, President of FIDAL.
