FIDAL and ESPE sign an agreement for education
.
The Foundation for Integration and Development of Latin America (FIDAL) and the University of the Armed Forces ESPE will today sign an agreement that will allow them to carry out initiatives that provide opportunities for children and young people.
One of the programs that both institutions will carry out is the STEM Academy of Sciences. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM is not a methodology, it is rather a framework that allows children and young people to get closer to technical areas and at the same time acquire skills, abilities and competencies that guarantee them a better future both in their university careers and in their professional development. Academy of STEM Sciences, also has the support of the New York Academy of Sciences and Microsoft Ecuador. The ESPE students and teachers will participate as volunteer mentors so that children from low-income schools have the opportunity to develop STEM skills for 10 weeks.
On the other hand, FIDAL will provide training opportunities through its Leadership School. The School, as in previous years, will grant scholarships to the best undergraduate students of the ESPE who will have the opportunity to share for 6 months with a select group of young leaders who after being selected by FIDAL will make up the third class of the Leadership School.
These initiatives will be added: seminars, talks, conferences, etc; that both institutions will be able to make available to the ESPE university community as well as to the general public.
