As every year, Fundación FIDAL gave training to the participants of the Educational Excellence Contest. Educators received lectures from national and international pedagogical experts and special guests.

Last Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13, 2016, the last stage of the Eighth National and Third Latin American Competition of Educational Excellence was opened. Before the delivery of the Nôus awards, the calendar contemplated this training for the participating teachers.

However, this event was open to other teachers interested in acquiring more tools for their career in education. In addition to national educators, teachers from Colombia and Venezuela came from their respective countries to the facilities of the Saint Dominic School retirement home (Valle de Los Chillos).

The talks were focused on areas such as writing techniques, technological innovations, student counseling, safety, and others.

Among the trainers and national guests were Dalia María Noboa (pedagogue), Patricio Pazmiño (former general of the National Police), María Eileen Delgadillo (coach), Vicente Zambrano (computer scientist) and María Isabel Peñaherrera (pedagogue), the latter two are collaborators of Microsoft in Ecuador.

Aurelio Barrios (Cuba), Daniel López Stefoni (Chile) and Alberto Thieroldt (Peru), international juries of the Educational Excellence Contest, completed the group of exhibitors. While the president of the Advisory Council of Fidal, Rosalía Arteaga, closed the event and gave the teachers the training certificates .
