International University Alliance for Peace promotes comprehensive education in Ecuador

On August 25, in the Paraninfo of the Andean University “Simón Bolívar, the XI International Seminar was held:“ Challenges of Higher Education in Human Development and Society ”, a high-level meeting organized by the World Embassy of Activists for Peace in order to promote inter-institutional alliances to promote a culture of peace.
The International University Alliance for Peace (ALIUP) is a grouping of universities, faculties, careers, chairs, higher education professionals, higher education institutes, ministries of education, accreditation agencies and national and international higher education regulatory bodies , established with the objective of building a culture of peace through quality education oriented to the development of professional skills, based on respect for dignity and the promotion and protection of human rights.
Academic authorities, teachers, students and Activists for Peace attended the seminar, which was developed through round tables with various presentations. The event was attended by the former Minister of Education and former President of Ecuador, Rosalía Arteaga, who works on educational development issues from the FIDAL Foundation.
