From October 17 to 20, Quito will host the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III). Its axis will be centered on the adoption and application of a "new urban agenda" that helps define priorities for cities and urban planning for the next 20 years.
As an associated event and parallel to the United Nations Conference on housing and sustainable development, the 11th World Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS - XI) will be held, with the participation of speakers who will debate on Sustainable Cities, Conservation of the Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism; promotion of exchanges and cooperation of the economy and technology, in order to build consensus, promote actions and implement the New Urban Program.
The former president of Ecuador, and former ACTO Executive Secretary, Rosalía ArteagaSerrano will be one of the speakers invited by GFHS - XI to share her vision on sustainability, experiences and best practices in order to build a better future for communities, towns and cities. .
The GFHS - XI plans to bring together nearly 300 participants, including senior UN officials, politicians, national and local government authorities, mayors, ambassadors and diplomats, business leaders, professionals, investors and representatives of international organizations.
